Katahdin Outfitters has over 25 years of experience with self guided canoe and kayak trips on the Penobscot, Saint John, and Allagash Rivers. Our base which is located in Millinocket Maine, is directly on the major access route to the Allagash Waterway area and Penobscot River Corridor. As an established Allagash and Penobscot wilderness outfitter, we at Katahdin Outfitters feel the most valuable service we can offer you, our customer, is to assist in trip planning, routing and as a reliable source of up-to-date canoeing and waterway information.

How To Find Us

To reach our base site from Interstate 95, take the Medway exit and then left onto Route 157. Drive 10 miles to Millinocket and follow the signs to Baxter State Park. We are located just over the Millinocket town line and right at the beginning of the entrance road to Hidden Springs Campground. If you go past the Northern Timber Cruisers Snowmobile Clubhouse you have gone to far.
